Summary of Boutique Hotel Sant Jaume

I shall start by staying that everything from A to Z was just perfect at the Boutique Hotel Sant Jaume. When we walked through the entrance we knew that this hotel was perfect for us - stylish, modern and unique. We were kindly welcomed upon our arrival and we got a room upgrade to a wonderful superior suite.

Our room was very spacious and the king-size bed was a delight. The mattress was nice and firm just how we like it and the sheets were really soft and cosy.  We slept like babies and didn't want to get out of bed the next day... the bathroom was lovely with an amazing rainfall shower. All the bathroom products such as gels, shampoo & cream smelt really nice (even the slippers were super comfy). They even provided a quality hairdryer and hair straightener which is a first for me. It was so practical for me to have all these items to get ready for my friend's wedding.

We spent our afternoon by the rooftop pool and it was so so quiet and relaxing. The pool is not huge but it's perfect to refresh yourself from the hot summer sun. From the pool you have a lovely view over the small cobblestone streets and of the Cathedral of Palma. We had lunch at the Bartomeu and we ordered very simple things (gazpacho & vegetable sandwich) and it was all so delicious. They served us some flamed sobrasada with brown sugar and it was so interesting to taste it like this (apparently grandmothers serve it this way to children to make it easier for them to eat it). The bar manager was extremely kind and explained to us so many things about the hotel. Especially about all the alcohols they macerate themselves with interesting mixes of fruits and herbs. Breakfast the next day was served as a buffet but in a nice way with small quantities that were constantly being replaced rather than having products sitting out for a long time. There was a mixture of healthy products and local goodies from the island. Everyone is served a vitamin shot which is a perfect energy booster for the day.

The hotel also has a spa area with a sauna, indoor pool and a gym which we didn't use as we only stayed for one night. They have a list of massages and facial treatments that I'd definitely like to try next time.

Overall all the staff was extremely kind and attentive whilst being discrete at the same time which is just how I like it to be. The warm atmosphere at the hotel is unquestionable and it's what makes it so unique and sophisticated. I'm sure that this boutique hotel that recently opened this summer will be a great success and I highly recommend it to everyone going to Majorca and wanting to spend a night or more in the centre of Palma. Special attention is to paid to every single detail and the 5 starts are really well deserved!
